Tasting Notes

Winemaker Tracey Reichow

A personal selection of Cabernet Sauvignon and complementary varietals creates this engaging fusion of flavor and texture. A swirl of the glass brings effusive aromas of ripe black cherry and berry medley, woven with notes of eucalyptus and anise. Juicy on the palate, a bright beam of cherry is dusted with hints of roasted coffee and vanilla. While this wine will age gracefully, its polished tannins mean it is infinitely drinkable now! I craft this wine to be an ideal companion at the dinner table, paired with a wide range of dishes and good friends and family.

Coombsville, Napa Valley

The grapes were grown in Napa Valley’s Coombsville AVA, a region of rolling benchlands noted for temperate conditions and a long growing season. The vineyards sit on western-facing slopes, where the grapes benefit from excellent sun exposure and moderate afternoon breezes. The AVA sits at the southern end of Napa’s Vaca mountains, where the range curls around Coombsville like a cup. It protects the area from the acute heat to the east and the chilling winds from the San Francisco Bay to the south. The conditions here are ideal for full flavor development at an optimal, consistent pace.
