Tasting Notes
Cabernet Franc is noted for its enticing aromatics, and the 2007 Family Cuvée exemplifies the best of this varietal. Lush scents of bright blueberry and black cherry, infused with a hint of cloves, flow throughout the opening notes. A core of ripe black fruit evolves further in the mouth, unfolding to a rich mid-palate of black plum and bittersweet chocolate.

Serious cherry
notes in this silky Cabernet Sauvignon. You'll be treated to layers of
black currant and ripe blackberry flavors, with just a hint of dark
chocolate.
This
elegant Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic example of "Rutherford Dust".
It exhibits silky tannins with a rich, bright expression of cherries and
black fruit. With layers of fruit and silky tannins coming together to
create a wonderfully balanced, lush wine, this Cabernet is made to
enhance your meals. On the label of this limited edition wine you’ll
notice each bottle is individually numbered, followed by the total
number of bottles crafted (2200 bottles). Hand-grown and hand-crafted
with a passion for perfection, this is our first vintage from
Rutherford.
Winemaking
The fruit was hand-selected and destemmed into small open-top fermenters. Fermentations were punched down by hand, twice daily. Upon completion of fermentation, each lot was pressed and allowed to settle in tank before going to barrel. The wine was barrel aged for 19 months in 100% French oak, 33% new.

Tasting Notes
This elegant and smooth Syrah displays the refined character that complements meals and friends so well! Grown on the family Estate vineyard in Napa's Coombsville area, the finest lots of grapes are hand-selected for this artisan wine. I find that the nature of the soil imparts distinctive characteristics to the Syrah grape.Our vineyard is composed of granite and volcanic soils, ideal for developing a Syrah with refined flavors and complex aromatics.
Rich, bright and softly smoky, this vintage shows great balance and grace. Deep flavors of mixed berries, cassis and plum are framed with the signature of the Estate vineyard, delicate white pepper. Velvety and plush in the mouth, this Syrah closes with flowing layers of lush fruit and soft spice.

Cabernet Blend

Tasting Notes
Full bodied and silky, this blend is my best yet! The enticing notes of the Syrah and the supple tannins of the Cabernet Sauvignon integrate beautifully into a lush, full tasting experience. Vibrant ripe cherry and blackberry flow to a rich mid-palate. The finish builds and lingers, capped by silky tannins and layers of black fruit flavors. Pure pleasure in a bottle! A nice framework of acidity ensures the wine will age well over the next decade.
Winemaking
A rarity for a small winery, harvest occurred on the same day at both vineyards. The fruit was hand-selected, crushed and destemmed into small open-top fermenters. Fermentations were punched-down, by hand, at least twice daily. Upon completion of fermentation each lot was pressed and allowed to settle in tank before going to barrel. The wines were barrel aged separately for one year then blended and aged for an additional seven months. A total of 19 months in 100% French Oak, 33% new, followed by one year of bottle age before release.
